News, insights and opportunities connecting Senegal to its global community.

Our Mission

JokkoHub News is the editorial publication of JokkoHub, the professional network connecting Senegal to its global diaspora. We do not simply aggregate information — we transform it into context, opportunity and connection.

Our audience is Senegalese professionals, entrepreneurs, students, community leaders, and members of the global diaspora — and anyone invested in Senegal's development and its global connections.

Editorial Principles

• Useful, consequential, and actionable information over breaking-news speed.
• Professional, accessible, analytical, optimistic and credible reporting.
• No sensationalism, clickbait, or partisan political positioning.
• Primary sources preferred; transparent attribution; links to original reporting.

How We Use AI

Artificial intelligence assists our newsroom with research, source discovery, summarization, drafting and translation. AI may surface stories, suggest angles, and prepare first drafts — but human editors retain full responsibility for everything we publish.

AI-generated drafts never publish automatically. Every AI-assisted article enters a review queue and must be approved by an editor before publication. Sensitive topics — politics, health, legal matters, conflict, and financial allegations — receive heightened editorial review.

We never copy full articles, circumvent paywalls, fabricate quotes or statistics, or republish copyrighted photographs without appropriate rights.

Corrections Policy

We aim for accuracy. When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrected articles display a visible correction or update note with the date and reason.

Source Standards

We prioritize government ministries, official agencies, universities, companies, international organizations and regulators. Where reliable confirmation cannot be found, we flag uncertainty rather than present assumptions as fact.

Contributors
